Regn. No. District Shahdara/Society/170/2013
For family, friends and colleagues

Dear All,

I would like to express my gratitude to all of you for your support in ensuring the successful conduct of the Society’s 12th Annual General Body Meeting, held on December 13th, 2025.

Highlights of the meeting are as follows:

Meeting began with my opening remarks. Some of the highlights of the speech were:

  1. Political transition has led to better positive outlook towards the policy.
  2. Meetings held with Ministers and DDA officials on several occasions.
  3. Efforts made to increase landowner participation in the sector. We cannot move to sector planning, till we get atleast 70% landowner’s participation.
  4. Proposal submitted for further sector division on 19th Nov, 2025.
  5. Sector 8b, the first sector to achieve 70% consent under land pooling, is nearing implementation, paving way for others.
  6. Next Steps & Expectations: Once policy is successfully implemented in Sector 8b, and after the sub-division of our sector, our sector should qualify for layout planning and implementation.
  7. Per DDA’s suggestion, we will soon be submitting our Sector’s proposal with DDA, even without achieving 70% mark. DDA has assured us that post submission, it will work along with us to bring in remaining landowners.

Balance Sheet, Income and Expenditure Report, Audit Report, etc, for the year 2024-25 were shared, discussed and approved.

It was informed that per the suggestion from a member from 2023’s AGM, new auditors  were appointed in 2024. With permission from the general body, the same auditors were re-appointed for the financial year 2025-26. The same was discussed and approved.

Minutes of the last AGM held on the 07th of December, 2024 were presented.

Thereafter, we resumed our discussion on the ongoing process and what could be expected from the year to come. The forum was thereafter opened to the members for further queries/concerns.

Thereafter, post snacks, meeting was concluded with everyone’s permission after a vote of thanks from Mr Nischint.

On behalf of the Governing Body, I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone for their support and cooperation.

As we approach the end of 2025, we would like to extend our warmest wishes for a joyful and peaceful holiday season. May your Christmas be filled with happiness and your New Year bring prosperity, good health, and new opportunities.

Together, let’s continue working toward a brighter future in 2026 and beyond!

Wishing you all the best for the festive season and the year ahead.
