Dear All,
Yesterday, on the 26th of Nov, we had a meeting with the DDA officials at Vikas Sadan on an official platform. Steps in the implementation of the policy and the reasons behind the slow progress were discussed in detail with the presiding officer who took note of all the comments, which were to be compiled into the minutes and later shared with the VC, DDA.
The takeaways of the meeting were:
1) Out of 109 proposed sectors, around 15 sectors (from L, P2, and N Zone) have crossed the 65% mark and 12 of them have qualified for the next round, so far. Our Sector 7 was on the list and hence we have got the confirmation that our sector has qualified for Consortium formation.
2) DDA will be issuing notice for Consortium formation for these qualified sectors by the year-end. A detailed breakup of the weekly-work being done in this regard was shared by them.
3) A number of modifications have been recommended to the ministry by DDA per the technical anomalies/shortcomings brought to their notice in the past few months. They are expected to be approved in the upcoming winter session.
4) DDA is very hopeful that work on the ground will start to get visible by the end of the first quarter of next year, as they have initiated work on the mobility plan for the land pooling zones/sectors. Details on this mobility plan were provided to you all in an update shared on the 23rd of October, this year.
5) More such periodic meetings will be held to work on the technical aspects of the policy.
We also suggested them to make a press release of the list of sectors that have qualified or are nearby, which was well received.
The information has been passed to the other landowners of our Sector. We will be carrying out back-to-back meetings in the villages, which are a part of our Sector, to get them up to speed and to keep them prepared for the next round.
We will be working out an SOP with the DDA’s technical team. Also, our legal team is working on finalizing a draft for the Consortium by-laws. Relevant documents of some other successful consortiums formed in other parts of the country are being referred for the same.
Please revert if there are any suggestions. Your support is much appreciated.
