We are having back-to-back meetings with the DDA Commissioner (Land Pooling) and the Landowners to take things forward.
Some of the key points of these discussions were:
DDA will soon be putting boards in our sector depicting that the land falls under land pooling.
Pre-consortium work done on our part, including consent forms and committee bylaws etc, was shared with them.
It was conveyed that we will discuss the consortium-related SOP in our next meeting with the commissioner, land pooling. Thereafter the same will be conveyed to the landowners. This would comprise of expense sharing structure, land re-distribution etc.
DDA is willing to achieve results on consortium formation in the next 2-3 months. They have shown willingness to work closely with us in this regard.
Also, we have convinced them to initiate work on the construction of the portion of UER-2 road passing through our sector. They should soon begin the mapping of the land.
We are going slowly but steadily in enrolling the landowners since we should not be perceived as being pushy. Any aggressive approach on our part can raise negative sentiments. DDA commissioner has been very supportive and we are hoping to achieve the results together ASAP.
